Sandy

In August I lost my best friend. Some who have never had the beautiful experience of having a dog, may never understand the heartache that I continue to feel on a daily basis. You really don't realize what you have until it's gone, though Sandy was so special, that I remember loving on her and enjoying her every second of her life.

Ella fue tan especial en mi Vida (She was so special in my life).

I went from a non-dog person to a lover of dogs. The story of how I even got Sandy is truly a sign of God's gifts. She came to me at a dark time in my life and since the day she became mine, I can honestly say, I was forced to be a happier human. Sandy was so special that 3 of our friends who were LITERALLY afraid of dogs, ended up getting their own dogs, after spending time with our SandStar!

Podria hablar de Sandy por anos (I could talk about Sandy for years) and still not have expressed how amazing she was, So you can imagine the joy I felt when I went to the Converse store and had an instinctual desire to pay homage to Sandy with a portrait on my kicks. I was like, this could be weird but when I received the sneakers, I cried. The image of Sandy lands right on the area of my ankle where she loved to lay, lick, snuggle and walk side by side with her mama. I imagine her with me every single time I see those kicks. And I just love them! And I will always love her.

Besitos,
